Have Reach Got News For You: in pictures
The first weekend after dry January is a cause for celebration...
...changing our trading name to Reach is another reason to celebrate...
...so we brought the two together to bring you 'Have Reach Got News For You'.
Last Thursday, 6th February over 130 people from 17 agencies packed into The Well for our inaugural big brand event - an aptly themed quiz night ‘Have Reach Got News For You’.
We officially rebranded to Reach at the end of October 2019, and with the new name now firmly established, the team hosted clients and advertising partners in one of Dublin's newest bar venues for our celebratory brand showcase which looks set to become an annual event in the adland calendar!
The fabulous James Patrice was our quizmaster and our Commercial Director Jonathan Eakin kicked things off with the news of our name change, explaining why we changed our name to Reach and what it means for our advertising partners.
"The name choice is simple. Our business is reaching more people, more frequently, more meaningfully, through more news brands. Our combined portfolio means we now offer a truly diverse portfolio of trusted brands across multiple platforms, right across Ireland, North and South as we now operate out of our three major cities - Belfast, Cork and Dublin."
Powered by pizza and pints, the pub quiz rounds were broadly general knowledge but we tailored one round, called ‘In The News This Week’, which was all questions around news published on our Irish sites that week, a nod to our editorial teams.
Two agencies came out on top with Starcom and Mediacom walking away with the inaugural ‘Have Reach Got News For You’ quiz winners trophy and IPG Mediabrands runners-up.
