Our Deputy Group Picture Editor on what he would do if he won the lottery, his favourite hobby and his biggest fear (which might get him in trouble!)
What was your first job?
I've actually come full circle here, my first job was delivering papers from the age of about 13. I would come home from school and a big bag of papers would be sitting waiting in the house and I'd head off to deliver them house to house.
What would you do if you won the lottery?
Buy a pub! It's always been a dream of mine to own a pub - nothing too big just a nice local style pub.
Currently watching?
I had never watched ‘The Sopranos’ until my wife persuaded me to watch them recently. Can't believe I never watched them before, it's one of the best TV shows ever and it hasn't dated at all.
If I wasn’t a Deputy Group Picture Editor, I would be...
A carpenter - I loved woodwork in school. It was my favourite subject in school and was good at it then, not so much now.
What do you consider your greatest achievement to date?
On a personal level it would have to be my 3 kids.
Cardio or weights?
Cardio
What is your guiltiest pleasure?
TV game shows - I love sitting down on a Saturday evening with the kids to watch the likes of Catchphrase. I'm the master of it, of course....
Biggest life lesson to date?
Live life to its fullest, as you never know what's around the corner.
Nice car or nice home interiors?
Not into cars at all so I assume by default it's home interiors, I do like to be comfortable at home.
What is your favourite thing about your career?
Has to be the people I've met along the way.
Hot or cold weather?
Not a big fan of really hot weather so I will say cold. Can't beat a nice pint in front of an open fire on a winter's day.
Name the film you’d watch again tonight?
The Godfather - best film ever, FACT!
What’s your favourite hobby?
I really enjoy running at the moment. It's great for the head space, just getting out in the fresh air and listening to some music or a podcast. I recently ran the equivalent of 5 marathons in a month to raise money for The Irish Cancer Society which was great. I raised €4,300 in total which I was delighted about as it's such a great cause.
Trip or staycation?
Trip all the way - love a good city break, not that I've done many but I do plan on getting a few more done in the next few years.
What’s your favourite question to ask people?
Fancy a pint!!!
What makes you laugh the most?
I do like a good laugh so I'd have to say either a good comedy movie like ‘Old School’ with Will Ferrell or meeting up with friends and family is always good for a laugh.
Most overused word or phrase
It would have to be either "cool or sound". I answer a lot of questions with these words and it drives my kids mad... which is probably why I use them so much.
What is top of your bucket list?
Top of my bucket list is either to jump out of a plane (with a parachute of course) or to swim with dolphins.
Chinese or Indian?
Indian all the way and the spicier the better.
What is your biggest fear?
I don't really have any fears but anyone who knows me really well would say my biggest fear is be my wife Donna.
