Caroline Christie: "From the top down, we have some of the nicest people in the industry."

Business Comms

Our Senior Agency Account Manager on never having a "worst" job, how her hidden talent is weightlifting (even with her tiny 5’1 frame), her obsession with JFK & her favourite question to ask people.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

Funnily enough, I wanted to be a journalist, so it’s quite random I ended up in a newsroom doing a completely different job!

Social media platform of choice?

Instagram for sure, gives me tonnes of inspiration for restaurants, dishes to cook, places to travel to and health & fitness advice!

Favourite writer?

My book list consists of true-life stories from WW2 - I love my history, so a mixture of different authors with real-life stories from Auschwitz/Birkenau, visited there two years ago and really changed my perspective on life.

What’s the most expensive thing you’ve bought (excluding property)?

Probably either of my trips to China or Australia, they were pretty pricey!

Hidden talent?

I am pretty good at weightlifting and quite strong which you wouldn’t think to look at my tiny 5’1 frame! I also have weird double-jointed elbows and ankles.

What is your guiltiest pleasure?

A Friday evening wine is a must along with a nice takeaway! Ends the week perfectly and is a great start to the weekend!

What’s one of your favourite memories at Reach?

Has to be the people, any of the best memories I have wouldn’t have happened without my colleagues being there! From the top down, we have some of the nicest people in the industry.

Biggest life lesson to date?

Be nice, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. (Especially the last year).

What’s your favourite question to ask people?

What are you having for dinner? Just a tad bit obsessed with food.

If you could go back in time, where would you go?

At this stage, probably go back to any type of Summer holiday I had before the pandemic. Mostly likely Paros Island in Greece, it is the dream.

What is the worst job you’ve done?

I have been pretty lucky with jobs, I have loved them all. I worked in a restaurant for about seven years all the way through school/college and then started in Reach five years ago.

Someone you’d love to meet, living or dead?

Anyone that knows me well enough, knows I have a bit of an obsession with The Kennedys so this would have to be JFK.

What is top of your bucket list?

To have my own boat, love the water or else own my own coffee shop/tapas wine restaurant (both winning lottery dependent!)
